Stirling James Risk Management Consultants Ltd is an established consultancy specialising in safety risk management. We want to share our knowledge and expertise to help businesses prevent accidental deaths and injuries.

A bit about Nathan
Nathan Davies is the founder and principal consultant. A chartered safety practitioner (CMIOSH), he has over 30 years of experience in safety risk management, consultancy and leadership, with national and international organisations.

Nathan works with a network of expert associates who deliver specialist activities.
Summary of previous work
Nathan brings experience in safety management and consultancy to every project. He has worked with very small and very large organisations.
- 1995–1998
Safety equipment and technical services
Worked for a national organisation in sales and technical services, selling PPE and safety equipment. The role involved working with safety managers and engineers to find the right solution.
- 1998–2003
Safety, health and environment manager
Joined an FTSE 100 FMCG and pharmaceuticals manufacturer. Recruited and developed a team and reduced lost-time injuries to less than 10% of previous levels.
- 2003–2005
Safety management consultant
Worked for two international consultancies across the UK, mainly with large and complex organisations.
- 2005–2023
Consultant moving to Executive
Worked across different areas with hundreds of organisations. As Executive Head of Policy and Portfolio, led work intended to make a positive difference in policy and commercial areas before leaving to grow Stirling James.
